Glossary
What we mean.
Short definitions for the words that show up in our process and our proposals. If a word is not here, we probably do not use it on purpose.
- Evaluation
- A measured baseline for an AI feature, in place before launch, so quality is a number you can watch.
- Feature flag
- A switch that can hide a change in production. We do not open a risky path without one.
- Handover
- Repo transfer, documented architecture, and a team of yours that can run the system. The engagement is not done before this.
- Human in the loop
- A person has to approve an action where being wrong costs money or reputation.
- Partner product
- Client work we take on. We take about three a year so our own products do not slip.
- Permissions matrix
- A written list of who can read or write which record, finished before the first screen.
- Production ready
- Access rules, logging, cost tracking, and a way to turn the feature off. Not a synonym for 'it compiled'.
- Scoped plan
- The output of the first two weeks: what we would build, what we would not, and a data model.
- Typical duration
- Eight to twelve weeks to something real users are on. Typical, not a guarantee.
